WELCOME TO EASTWOOD GROUP PRACTICE

A STATEMENT FOR THE PROPOSED CLOSURE OF 346 RAYLEIGH ROAD HAS BEEN UPLOADED TO OUR PPG PAGE, YOU CAN ACCESS THIS PAGE AT THE TOP OF OUR WEBSITE.

CONSULTATION ON IMPROVING PATIENT ACCESS

The proposal options we intend to explore with patients to seek their views regarding the very small bungalow at 346 Rayleigh Road, are with the intent of improving (i.e., increasing) access to a greater number of services and appointments with practice clinicians that we would be better able to provide across the 2 much larger purpose-built sites at Belfair’s and Kent Elms.

Patients would be able to continue to see the same staff that they already do now, from doctors, receptionists, nurses, and other clinical professionals, including having much better access to so many other skilled professionals – from physiotherapists, clinical pharmacists, social prescribers, to meet various presenting needs also.

We are constantly exploring how we can offer the most efficient and effective care and access to our patients. We have always operated as one GP practice, Eastwood Group Practice, with all our staff and clinicians moving across these three closely situated buildings, which are located close to where most of our registered practice population live.

We believe that considering these proposed changes could help to improve access to more of our services for more of our patients who already mostly use our two other large purpose-built modern NHS health facility sites.

No final decision has yet been made to close the smaller converted bungalow site down yet and we would like to reassure any patients who do currently access the small, converted bungalow located at 346 Rayleigh Road, that their views are really important in helping us to consider the impact of any proposed changes.

We have planned a meeting to discuss this that will take place on 6th April 2024, at our Kent Elms Branch located at 1 Rayleigh Road, Leigh on Sea, SS9 5UU, this will start from 10:30am we are only allowed 60 people capacity due to fire regulations, so please be aware we may have to turn you down once we have met capacity, however as your views are extremely important to us we will be holding an additional meeting on the 27th April 2024, this will start at 13:00pm but located at St Davids Church, 400 Rayleigh Road, leigh on Sea, SS9 5PT.

Should you be uable to attend these meetings but wish to pose enquires or provide feedback, please feel free to reach out to us via email at practice.managerf81128@nhs.net, the deadling for submitting any queries or feedback is May 15th 2024.
