Practice Re-development - Patient Consultation

The practice is looking to re-develop its premises and is sending out a patient consultation with a questionnaire to gain the views of our patients. The patient consultation document can be downloaded here and discusses three main options;

  1. Maintain branch surgeries in current location and state
  2. Re-development of the branches, with possible consolidation to two branches
  3. Build an entirely new premises on a new location with partial or full relocation down to one site

The main benefit of re-developing the practice is service provision, allowing patients to be seen by a doctor of their choice, and at a time suitable for the patient, while allowing all patients to access specialised clinics and commissioned services. All of this will be conducted from modern, purpose built premises, with improved access (currently a problem at the Rayleigh Road branch) which meet all infection and DDA building standards.

There are however potential problems with relocation to one site, as the A127 runs through the middle of the practice catchment area, and thus your feed back will strongly dictate which options may be viable and which are not.

Your completion of the questionnaire will be greatly appreciated, and can be dropped in to any of the surgeries once completed. Signing up to the practice newsletter is a great way of keeping up to date of the latest developments.
