Rayleigh Road Renovation

In early 2012, we hope to be able to move clinical consultations from 348 to 346 Rayleigh Road. Renovations started in December and plan to be completed by February. The 'bungalow' as it is fondly referred to has housed physiotherapy for the local commisssioning group over the past 18 months, but the practice has decided to update the premises for clinical consultations.  We hope to be able to provide more rooms, (and extra clinical space), with updated clinical equipment.

The clinical rooms need to meet high standards of build, for infection control, and sustainability as well allowing access to the patient population. There is a stair lift at 346, which can aid persons who cannot walk up steps or who use wheelchairs (or have bugeys), and the current steps themselves are being shallowed and the paving stones increasing in size to allow easier access. In addition to the extra clinical space there will be a disabled toilet, and a new patient call system.
