We are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all our prescriptions will be processed electronically from 15th July 2020
Electronic prescriptions help save the NHS money.
You will receive your prescriptions in the same way as you do now.

In response to the Corona Virus Pandemic it is safer for everyone to minimise face-to-face contact. AccuRx Fleming is a web-based tool that healthcare providers can use to send you an SMS text message or hold a video consultation. Video consultations are safe, secure and are not recorded. It is NHS-approved. You do not need to download anything. You will receive an SMS text message with a link to click on, and you will be connected. You will need a smartphone either with WiFi/3G/4G connection. Your Internet Browser needs to have your phone’s microphone and camera enabled. Please note that all appointment are telephone consultations and unless clinicians decide to see patients face to face or do a video consultation.

We all have very busy lives so how would you like to book Doctors appointments and order prescriptions Online. If you are interested please bring along proof of Address and ID to one of our receptionists who will be happy to arrange this for you.

For all urgent appointments, we ask that you undertake a symptom assessment through DoctorLink.
The symptom assessment will ask you a number of questions to help to identify your problem.
The outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether emergency care, your GP, nurse or self-care.
If your outcome indicates that an appointment is required at your GP practice, you simply click on the “request an appointment” button.
Once the request has been submitted, you will then be contacted by the Practice Team, to arrange an appointment within the identified timeframe (as outlined in the outcome of your symptom checker).
The information you provide will be shared with our clinical team (where appropriate) and will assist in providing robust information of your problem to the required clinical team member prior to your appointment.
RECEPTIONISTS ASKING FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
When booking an appointment, we may ask you for more information on why you need the appointment. This is because we can make sure that you are directed to the appropriate person as we do have a Prescribing Nurse who deals with minor ailments. This free's up some more of the doctors appointment for patients who need to see a doctor. If you do not want to give a reason for the appointment, just explain to the receptionist that it is personal and you would rather not give a reason and they will make an appointment for you with a Doctor.

Eastwood Group Practice will no longer provide NON NHS Vaccines for travel
i.e. Yellow Fever, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Hep B, Meningitis.
These will now need to be sourced via Private Clinic.
We will still provide any information or advice regarding vaccines for travel.
Please be aware that if you are going to require travel vaccinations, please make sure that you allow at least 4 to 6 weeks before your date of travel.
Also note that you will need to fill in a risk assessment form before you come for your appointment with the nurse. These forms can be collected from reception or downloaded from this website. You will find them under Forms. The form needs to be handed back to reception at least 3 days prior to your appointment date.

ACCESS TO GP SERVICES FOR EVENING/WEEKEND & BANK HOLIDAY APPOINTMENTS

Our surgery provides aditional GP and Nurse appointment on :
Weekday evenings - 18.30 to 20.00
Weekends - 09.00 to 15.00
Please contact the surgery reception to book an evening appointment before 18.30
